Hans interestingly shares a birthday with Mickey Mouse and was born on the day that they landed on the moon for the 2nd time.
Outside of work, Hans loves to focus on land and habitat management, especially since he owns nearly 100 acres of land surrounding his house. He enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time with family, and admits that if he could have any job in the world and didn’t have to necessarily be concerned about income, he would be a land and habitat management consultant and a hunting/fishing guide! This would entail creating a habitat for the wildlife of an area, including water and food sources, logging and forestry practices, and more! Another interesting fact about Hans is that he has planted more than 20,000 trees on his property!
Two meaningful quotes stick in Hans’ mind that he often shares with staff…”If it was easy to do, everyone would do it and doing the right thing isn’t always easy.” The other is…”If you can’t take care of the person that looks at you in the mirror every day, then you can’t take care of anyone else.”
Hans has a wife, two sons, and two dogs, Abigail and Ruby, along with a cat, Bucky, and a dozen chickens (he shares there’s nothing better than farm-fresh eggs!)
What would your pets say about you if we asked for a reference?
Hans is a pushover and we have him wrapped around our paws. We always want more treats!
If you could build a brand-new phone app to do something helpful for you, what would it do?
It wouldn’t work very well since I would prefer all apps get OFF my phone and we teach verbal communication again…. We no longer pick up the phone and call!
If you were shipwrecked on a deserted island and your basic human needs—such as food and water—were provided, what other two items would you want to have with you?
Companionship and shelter as I’m staying there!
