Outside of work, Courtney enjoys traveling, working out, camping, dancing, and playing with her parents’ dogs! The most gratifying part of her role at JSD has been working with experienced engineers to expand her knowledge and being able to be part of a team that helps make a client happy with the design of their project.

Courtney’s very first paid job was a teaching assistant for kindergarten through 2nd grade for summer reading and writing classes, but she admits that if she could have any job in the world and didn’t have to necessarily be concerned about income, she would be a professional dancer! Something you would not know about Courtney is that she took a class focused on learning about Italy and Greece, then took a two-week trip to the countries, including a three-day cruise around the Greek Islands where she hopes to go back to someday!

If you were added as a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why?
I would be a dark blue or purple color. These colors are known to be rather calming and relaxing which represents my personality well!

If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island and your basic human needs—such as food and water—were provided, what other two items would you want to have with you?
A toothbrush and soap to shower.

If you found a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million, how do you spend it?
I would pay off all of mine and my family’s debts, spend a year (or more!) traveling, and when I came home I would build a house and buy a new car.
