With a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UW-Platteville, Cade’s very first paid job was working for his dad’s small construction company in residential construction and home remodels but he admits that if he could have any job in the world and didn’t have to necessarily be concerned about income, he would love to work in environmental restoration, helping improve or maintain natural habitats and manage the wildlife that lives within them.
Outside of work, Cade enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, and outdoor activities in general. He is also an avid football fan of the Badgers and Packers (Bears sucks) and excitingly is part of Engineers Without Borders, serving as a mentor for UW-Platteville’s chapter. In addition, Cade played rugby competitively in college and plans to continue playing socially with former teammates and other enthusiasts for as long as he can physically handle it!
If you found a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million, how do you spend it?
I would buy a cabin somewhere up north on a lake. Of course, I’d get a nice fishing boat and truck to haul it with. I would also Invest part of it so I never have to work again, then use the rest to help family, friends, or donate to charities in need.
If you could build a brand-new phone app to do something helpful for you, what would it do?
It would be a tourist app with recommendations for things to do by clicking on a city or location.
If you were shipwrecked on a deserted island and your basic human needs—such as food and water—were provided, what other two items would you want to have with you?
I would want a fishing pole and a portable speaker to listen to music with while I fish.
