A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Allison says the most rewarding part of her work is having the opportunity to serve the communities she grew up in. Her first paid job was at a greeting card store called Card Frenzy, and if she could choose any career in the world, she’d love to be a horse trainer so she could spend every day around animals. Before college, she spent much of her time working with and riding horses.

Outside of work, Allison enjoys sewing and recently completed her first quilt entirely by hand. She also has a major sweet tooth and fondly remembers summers spent at her grandparents’ home in Holland, Michigan, where trips to the local candy store meant stocking up on everything from fudge and saltwater taffy to every sour candy imaginable.

Allison lives with her golden retriever, Rocky, and her cat, Stassi, who is named after one of her favorite reality TV personalities.

If you could build a brand-new phone app to do something helpful for you, what would it do?
As a Diet Coke fanatic, I would build an app that easily shows which restaurants have Coca-Cola products vs the ones that have Pepsi products.

If you found a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million, how do you spend it?
I would buy a house on a big property in Michigan with a view of Lake Michigan and a pool with enough room for my entire family.
