




2025 Staff Summer Outing

It’s baseball season, and just like our Milwaukee Brewers—who are holding strong around the .500 mark—we at JSD are in the thick of an exciting season of our own. Recently, our entire team had the chance to connect at American Family Field, cheering from the third base line, united under one sky for an unforgettable day of tailgating, Brewers baseball, and a few spirited side bets on the iconic Sausage Race.
Bringing together staff from all seven offices across four states, our ownership team made it a priority to foster camaraderie and celebrate our collective momentum. And we have a lot to celebrate. Since 2023, we’ve completed two strategic acquisitions, grown our ownership team to nine leaders, and added over a dozen new team members across our disciplines—including landscape architects, structural and civil engineers, and surveyors. Like a well-rounded baseball team, we’re recruiting top talent that fits our culture and helps elevate the entire organization.
But it’s not just about growing our roster. Behind the scenes, we’re advancing a multi-year strategic growth plan, which—while ambitious—keeps us aligned, focused, and swinging for long-term success.
Out of our 100 initiatives, a few key “plays” have already made a major impact:
- Revamped IT Strategy: Transitioned from internal support to a cloud-based system managed externally.
- Organizational Realignment: Shifted from a geography-based model to a discipline-based framework.
- Employee Engagement: Launched a cross-functional staff advisory team to provide feedback on benefits, policies, and technology decisions.
We know success isn’t always easy or linear, but by staying true to our strategy, we’re creating a game plan for sustainable and meaningful growth. As the Brewers say, “This is my crew.” At JSD, that rings true too. We’re proud of our crew—every employee, every office, every owner—and we look forward to building what’s next, together.
