The congregation of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa was formed in 1882 and a year later, built its first church and school with construction costs at $3500. The cornerstone of the present church building was laid in 1929 and the current school was completed in 1958.

In 2022, JSD was proud to join the design team to prepare preliminary plans for an addition to the church and school. Our team provided preliminary site plans, as well as grading, drainage, erosion control and utility plans. A landscape plan was also prepared comprised of softscape elements including trees, shrubs, perennials and ground cover plantings. Final construction documents are in the works for completion and permitting.

JSD also assisted the church in combining all the church land into a single lot by preparing a Certified Survey Map combining the multiple properties.
