JSD was hired as consultants for the River Trails Park District on the renovation of Aspen Trails Park. Two successful public meetings were held for community input before sharing designed concept plans and final master plans. In addition, JSD authored the OSLAD Grant for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) which was awarded in January, 2020. The redeveloped park will serve all age groups and includes a creative play area for 2-12 year olds, full-court basketball, tennis court, baseball field, soccer fields, open play area, drinking fountain, shelter and a path network that will facilitate access throughout.
