Kettle Park West

Kettle Park West encompasses 220 acres of multiple land uses, including commercial, retail, professional office, hospitality, single and multi-family housing, and a new city park. The first phase of the development is anchored by a 152,000 square-foot Walmart Supercenter.

JSD supported the development through all phases of implementation with a full range of consulting services that included planning, surveying, traffic impact analysis, wetland disturbance permitting, stormwater analysis, and civil engineering design. The improvements supporting the development included a stormwater management and pumping system to protect an existing closed watershed and coordinating major improvements to the state highways adjacent to the site.

The JSD Team guided the developer through the intricate land use entitlement process, including coordinating and facilitating approvals with the City of Stoughton, including developing and leading a robust public participation plan, Capital Area Regional Planning Commission, as well as the design, negotiation, and review of public infrastructure improvements with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The JSD Team also played a key role in successfully coordinating individual site plan review and approvals with the city, county, and state agencies. In addition, JSD also provided construction administration services, coordinating and managing two contractors.
