Ballpark Commons

Saying that Ballpark Commons is a mixed-use development is an understatement; the development has added new meaning to the description. Ballpark Commons is a mixed-use entertainment district that is anchored by the 4,000- seat baseball stadium, home to the Milwaukee Milkmen.

JSD is part of a comprehensive consulting team for the project, along with various architects, structural engineers, financial consultants, and others. JSD’s specific role on the consulting team involves preliminary master planning, survey, wetland delineation and mitigation design, tree inventory, land use entitlement assistance and coordination, civil engineering, permitting, and construction staking.

Encompassing approximately 200 acres of land on and around the former Crystal Ridge Landfill in Franklin, Wisconsin, it is Southeast Wisconsin’s newest entertainment, retail and residential community. Ballpark Commons’ amenities and programming are mostly anchored around sports and entertainment, and include a minor league baseball stadium, a year round indoor sports facility, restaurants, retail, apartments, senior living facilities, and outdoor playing fields. The project is the second phase of a development plan that began in 2012 with the construction of various outdoor playing fields, a BMX course, and a four season umbrella bar.
