JSD staff have been providing services to Wispark, LLC since the initial design of this 2000-acre business park started in 1987. JSD continues to provide design services within the business park, one of the largest in Wisconsin. Services have included roadway and utility design, stormwater management, grading and drainage, master planning, boundary and survey control work, platting, and road and easement dedication exhibits. The storm water management system included detention/retention ponds, wetland enhancement, wetland creation and mitigation and water quality features. Numerous environmental permits were required for the project as well as wetland and floodplain mapping, floodplain map revisions and floodplain mitigation.

By providing the surveying and engineering services, JSD has demonstrated experience in the entire development process. This project required extensive coordination with various federal, state and local governmental agencies including the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, US Army Corps of Engineers, Wisconsin Department of Transportation, State of Wisconsin Historic and Preservation Office, Wisconsin Department of Commerce, Wisconsin Department of Administration, Kenosha County Highway Department, the planning and review agencies of the Village of Pleasant Prairie and Kenosha County, environmental specialists, geotechnical engineers, architects, landscape designers, contractors and numerous clients, and businesses and developers within the park.
