The University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation serves as the clinical practice organization for the faculty physicians of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. JSD provided professional consulting services to assist in the design and construction of a 135,000-square-foot faculty office building to connect to the UW Hospital via an elevated skywalk.

More specifically, JSD provided professional survey and engineering services. Survey services included the preparation of an existing conditions survey and map of the site, which included a boundary, topographic, and utility survey. Professional engineering services included utility design, preparation of site grading and erosion control plans, construction drawings, and a stormwater management plan.

An in-depth stormwater analysis was conducted to evaluate both the existing system capacity and the impacts of the proposed development on that system. The analysis focused on addressing and minimizing peak runoff, reducing total suspended solids, grease and oil treatment, and included hydraulic modeling. JSD also provided permit coordination services, facilitating permit review with the Wisconsin Department of Commerce.
