JSD provided professional engineering and land surveying services to Juneau County for their 43,250 square-foot, two-story office building. Services included surveying, site civil engineering, landscape design, building design, structural design, and submittals to all approving agencies such as the State of Wisconsin, City of Mauston, Wisconsin DNR, and local utilities. Site design included an existing conditions survey, master plan, grading and erosion control, storm water control, and relocation of existing utilities. This work required close coordination with the City of Mauston and local utilities involving coordination with a concurring roadway reconstruction project. The site required an underground stormwater treatment facility due to site size constraints.

The building and structural design included concrete foundations, structural steel framed roof systems, composite floor systems, and metal stud interior building walls. JSD had some extra added challenges due to poor soil strength and a highwater table, so geo-piers were designed and utilized. Building design included code compliant floor plan layout, stair configuration, and restroom layout.
