McKenzie Regional Workforce Center
- Fitchburg, Wisconsin
- OPN Architects
- 21,700 Square Feet
- 2021
The goal of the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County is to lead the way in youth development programs by working together with local businesses, foundations and community programs to produce positive outcomes for nearly 8,000 young people and their families.
Previously in 2006, JSD worked on their 21,200 square-foot building, athletic fields, and accompanying streets and utilities to support the development. In December, 2021, JSD was extremely honored to play a role in the new McKenzie Regional Workforce Center in Fitchburg, donating 100% of all contracted civil engineering, structural engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture services for the project.
The new McKenzie Regional Workforce Center broke ground this past summer and expects to open Fall of 2022. The center will not only house the corporate office, but also provide Dane County’s young people with job training and placement in careers such as plumbing, construction, HVAC and welding.
