Zach has degrees from Winona State University and Mid-State Technical College. He admits that the most gratifying part of his job is being outside, viewing various landscapes and seeing what they have to offer while enjoying the wildlife he gets to occasionally encounter.
Something you would not know about Zach from reading his resume is that he went to Europe to play hockey in high school. Speaking of high school, Zach’s very first job was constructing fences for livestock, but if he could have any job in the world, he would love to be a cinematic hunting personality!
Outside of work, Zach enjoys live theater, classical art, ice fishing, hunting (especially ducks) and hockey.

It would track DNR-collared animals.
If you were shipwrecked on a deserted island and your basic human needs—food and water—were provided, what other two items would you want to have with you?
A rifle and Netflix.
If you found a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million, how do you spend it?
I would buy Mississippi River land in Louisiana “Peace”
