Woodson YMCA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. This YMCA Aspirus branch playground redevelopment included playground redesign for two age groups.

JSD provided surveying & mapping, subconsultant coordination, landscape architecture, and construction services. Our team provided full design for a 0-2 years old playground and a 2-5 years old playground to meet state licensing requirements for childcare facilities.

Design included flexible spaces with cast-in-place rubber, synthetic turf, and updated play structure equipment. JSD provided construction administration services during construction for the project. A unique challenge included limited depth to bedrock, a phasing plan to keep the playgrounds accessible and specific owner selected equipment and color specifications.
