JSD was hired as consultants for the River Trails Park District for the renovation of Willow Trails Park. Our landscape architects led two successful public meetings to gather community input from the residents. The meetings also included an interpreter from JSD to increase communication during the meetings in the largely Latino neighborhood.

JSD designed the final master plan which includes play apparatus for 2-12 year olds, half-court basketball, fitness stations, two futsal courts, grass volleyball court, court games (such as hopscotch and four-square), soccer fields, soccer bang wall, and an interior network of paths.

In addition, JSD authored the OSLAD Grant for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).
