JSD provided professional civil engineering and surveying services for a building addition and associated new parking lot and loading dock for the Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene, and Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

JSD always prides itself on collaborative teamwork, including the review and approval of development proposals across multiple agencies. As part of this project, JSD played a key role in facilitating the review and approval of the proposed building addition and site improvements with the client and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Wisconsin Department of Commerce, and the City of Madison. Professional surveying services included providing an existing conditions survey and map for use in the civil design portion of the project. JSD also provided professional civil engineering design services, including preparation of site grading and erosion control plans, utility plan, autoturn analysis, and construction details and specifications. Additionally, JSD carried out a stormwater management analysis and design.
