The Goddard School’s Advanced Learning Program for children reaches more than 50,000 students in 440 Goddard Schools in 35 states. Their comprehensive program provides childhood preparation for social and academic success. JSD provided professional surveying, engineering, planning and landscape architecture services for the Goddard Early Childhood Development School in Verona, Wisconsin, followed by a location in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

An initial screening was performed of the proposed project development site, including existing mapping and surveys, zoning and city information, GIS data, and publicly-available or owner-provided data to determine potential issues with the proposed development. JSD prepared a Conceptual Site Plan to illustrate land use and meet criteria provided by the client for site development. JSD also provided a Site Plan, Grading and Erosion Control Plan, and Utility Plan in a construction drawing format. A stormwater management plan was prepared in accordance with the City of Verona and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources requirements.

A landscape plan was prepared for the Site Plan submittal indicating landscape treatment and design. This plan included design of open space and natural areas, building foundations, and parking areas while giving careful consideration to areas along adjacent land uses and right-of-ways. Lastly, JSD prepared an updated Preliminary Opinion of Probable Construction Costs and limited construction administration.
