JSD provided survey, civil engineering and landscape architectural services for the construction of a four-story mixed-use building at the intersection of University Avenue and Shorewood Boulevard in the Village of Shorewood.

The Boulevard development included engineering and site development for the newly constructed building and on-site and off-site improvements for building access, parking and pedestrian connectivity with the Village Hall and neighborhoods. Landscape architectural services were provided in developing an integrated site design that featured patios and outdoor seating areas. Stormwater management was integrated into the City of Madison and Village of Shorewood Systems.

The site, with its underground stormwater management system, was specifically designed for flood protection due to its location in a flood prone area.

JSD provided support and coordination for the Village of Shorewood entitlements, review and approval processes for this project. JSD provided construction drawings, documentation and administration throughout the construction phase of this project.
