When Mike is not in the field, he enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether he’s traveling, hiking, golfing, skiing, or tackling yard projects at home, he appreciates any opportunity to be outside. In fact, his very first paying job was as a country club lifeguard. If Mike could choose any job in the world, he says he’d happily split his time between being a chairlift operator during the winter and a country club lifeguard during the summer.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Mike’s career is knowing he plays a role in improving infrastructure and seeing development projects come to life from start to finish. An interesting fact about him is that he attended six different schools in seven years, from second through seventh grade, as his father’s career required the family to relocate frequently.

Mike and his wife are proud parents of two children, and together they enjoy making the most of life’s adventures.

I would create an app that would give me a crowd meter at all restaurants/bars and events.

If you were shipwrecked on a deserted island and your basic human needs—such as food and water—were provided, what other two items would you want to have with you?
I would want a compass, a flint/magnesium fire starter, a knife, and a pair of shoes!
