Michael brings a unique background to the team, holding a bachelor’s degree in music as well as a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Colorado, Denver. Outside of the office, Michael travels around the Midwest watching his kid’s play volleyball, hockey and lacrosse. When he’s not road tripping, he is either golfing with friends, playing hockey, going to live music events, walking around his neighborhood, eating out, working in his yard, or doing something fun with his family.
Michael and his wife have three children, and two dogs, Bolt and Nala.
If he could pursue any career without worrying about income, Michael says he would love to play table tennis professionally—a talent he would travel the world for!
A meaningful quote:
“A city is a complex series of events.” – Lawrence Halprin (reminds Michael that a well-designed space should activate people to some effect)

Predict snowfall amounts so I could plan better ski trips.
If you were shipwrecked on a deserted island and your basic human needs—such as food and water—were provided, what other two items would you want to have with you?
Spotify and a great set of speakers.
