With a degree in landscape architecture from the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana, Michael’s first job ever was manning a paper route, but admits that if he could have any job in the world and didn’t have to be concerned about income, he would desire to own a restaurant and be a chef. Out of high school, he was on a two-year waiting list to enter culinary school, but landscape architecture caught his eye and the rest is history!
Outside of work, Michael enjoys playing golf, cycling, “do-it yourself” home improvements/remodeling, snow skiing and snowmobiling, and obviously cooking. He has a wife, daughter and son.
