As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Mary thrives on developing a product from start to finish–starting with a blank canvas, summing all the requirements and standards, and coordinating with the client, contractor, architect, and everyone involved for a finished, functional design! Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, hiking and biking, as well as crochet and cross stitch. She is also known for singing at weddings and funerals as well as playing French horn in a community band.
Mary’s very first paying job was at Panera Bread on the sandwich line, but if she could have any job in the world, she would learn shop skills (woodworking, welding, etc.) and, combined with her crafting skills, she’d make decorations and practical items!
If you were added as a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why?
I would be a white crayon with colorful specks intermittently throughout. I am relatively unnoticeable and keep my head down for the most part, but every so often, I show a spark of whimsy.
Describe your life using a movie title:
It would be “Cars” because sometimes you need to turn right to go left to get where you want to go!
If you could build a brand-new phone app to do something helpful for you, what would it do?
I would make an app to make reasonable and knowledgeable decisions for me.
