When you ask Kyle what his dream job is, he’ll tell you it’s exactly what he’s doing at JSD. He loves connecting with people and having meaningful, impactful conversations. His very first job was as a Mason Tender, where his father was his reference, sharing that he didn’t know if Kyle knew how to use a shovel—hence the reason he prefers doing the “relationship” side of the business.
Outside the office, Kyle enjoys photography, camping, hiking, traveling, sampling craft beers and bourbons, collecting watches, and raising money for charity. Something you would not know about Kyle is that he cannot keep a beat. He really wanted to have a choreographed first dance with his wife at their wedding, so he learned a dance and only missed one spin…but kept the beat!
Kyle and his wife are expecting their first baby, and they currently share their home with one dog and two cats.
If you were added as a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why?
If the standard colors of the crayon box are: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Black, Brown, Orange, Purple, Pink, and Gray, then I would say (after asking chat GPT) Neon Orange, because this best captures a zest for life, a love for travel, and enjoys talking to people.
Describe your life using a movie title?
Movie/Book: Into The Wild…because I love to travel and see where the road takes me, trying new foods, meeting new people, and living new experiences. Quote from the movie “The core of man’s spirit comes from new experiences.”
If you could build a brand-new phone app to do something helpful for you, what would it do?
I would build a phone app that would be my personal assistant to filter how I am saying something to how it actually needs to come across. (Sometimes I am too direct.)
