Jim graduated with a degree in natural resources management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and then with a masters in urban and regional planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His very first job ever was lifeguarding and he admits that the most gratifying part of his current job is the opportunity to provide planning and design expertise to appreciative clients.
Outside of work, Jim tries to spend as much time as possible outdoors. He shared that if he could have any job in the world and didn’t have to necessarily be concerned about income, he would love to vacation with his wife and family and spend more time fly-fishing.
He and his wife are empty nesters but enjoy their grandchildren nearby and in Colorado.
