As a Survey Crew Chief, Mike Searle brings strong field expertise and technical knowledge to every project. He works closely with project managers to coordinate and execute land surveying fieldwork, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process.

Leo is a Civil Engineer at JSD, where he assists with civil engineering design and plan production for a variety of projects. He supports project teams through the development of construction documents, technical design work, and coordination efforts that help move projects from concept through implementation.

As a JSD Project Surveyor, Nick Campanelli conducts topographic surveys, plat of surveys, ALTA surveys and CSMs, along with preparing construction staking.

As a Senior Project Surveyor, Daniel Bednar plays a key role in leading both in‑office and field operations for our surveying team. He oversees research, review, and preparation of survey documents for new projects, and is a trusted mentor to field crews and technicians. Kamren Bornemeier is a project coordinator for JSD, helping coordinate project schedules, resources, and information while also serving as a liaison with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.

As part of our civil engineering team, Mary Schmidbauer assists with the design of site layout, grading, utility, and erosion control practices, as well as performing stormwater analysis, and assembling corresponding permitting, calculations, and other documentation to achieve a quality site design.

Alexis Habermehl, a civil engineer on our team, graduated from UW–Platteville with a civil engineering degree and municipal/transportation emphasis. She touches both the private and public sector work on our team, expanding from commercial/retail and education or government, all the way to healthcare, mixed use/residential and community & civic projects!

As a Survey Technician for JSD, Nathan carries out boundary surveying, topographic surveying and construction staking as well as ALTAs for JSD’s clients.
