Summit Credit Union

Cottage Grove, WI

The Summit Credit Union Headquarters in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin is Madison’s largest credit union. The six-story, 152,000-square-foot building is on 11 acres and has an 88-space underground parking ramp and a surface lot with 435 stalls. The new building will consolidate administrative staff and include a full-service credit union branch, corporate offices, and amenities for employees such as an exercise and meditation room, sand volleyball court, cafeteria, and walking/biking path.

JSD came in early to provide surveying services including topographic and utility mapping and boundary delineation. Our engineering team took the lead on the commercial development site including a demolition plan with remediation of a former construction landfill and consolidation of parcels; detailed grading & erosion control plans; a comprehensive stormwater management plan; utility plan, and site construction details.

JSD’s landscape architects also worked closely with project consultants to prepare a landscape plan that met the unique native prairie vision of the architect, owner’s intent, as well as Village requirements. The architect also requested three dimensional renderings and plant pallets to provide a visual representation of the built site integrating architecture, site details, topography, and landscape design. These renderings were presented to the owners and Village of Cottage Grove to further illustrate design goals. This building is LEED Silver certified!
