Steve Norin, P.L.S

Survey Crew Chief

As one of JSD’s survey crew chiefs, Steve Norin provides project administration, as well as taking a lead on Plats of Survey, subdivision plats, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Condo plats, and Certified Survey Maps. In addition, he focuses on LiDAR scans and conducting drone surveys, while also playing a role in mentorship, training, and guidance to survey technicians on our team.

Interestingly, Steve is also a UAS Remote Pilot, PADI Open Water Diver and even has a degree in Occupational Studies at the Culinary Institute of America!  Something you would NOT know from his resume is that he was a chef on an expedition cruise ship and sailed to all seven continents and over 65 countries!

Even though his very first job was babysitting, then working at an ice cream parlor, he shares that he absolutely loves working on ALTA surveys in his current role, but would also love to do travel writing! Outside of work he enjoys boating, canoeing, geocaching and gardening.

Steve is married with two kids and a collie!
