RiverWalk on the Falls is an intimate, visually stunning community where walkability and sociability are part of the plan! This project was unique as it tied together a sense of place and richness with its site and architectural design consistent with the historic Village Centre.

Our team provided civil engineering for the two-block urban redevelopment. Unveiled in two phases, the site plans allowed space for multiple three- and four-story elevator buildings with an underground parking level exposed to provide street-level commercial space. There were challenges involved with this development, including 25 feet of grade drop across the site, while also incorporating the riverwalk into the design. In addition, stormwater management was provided by an underground pipe detention system.

Common areas for residents and retail tenants include a pet grooming spa and makers space and a state-of-the-art Community Center with an art gallery, a community meeting room, a caterer’s kitchen, fitness/pilates/yoga mezzanine, and an outdoor pool.

And to put the cherry on top, the cascading waterfalls of the Menomonee River added an extra visual perk to life at the RiverWalk.
