Reddan Soccer Park

Verona, WI

Phase I – Reddan Soccer Park is a 60-acre facility belonging to the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association (MAYSA) who annually hosts more than 1,200 league games, 700 practices, eight major tournaments and other events welcoming over 225,000 visitors! The JSD Design Team provided master planning services and redevelopment plans to re-establish Reddan Soccer Park as one of Wisconsin’s premier soccer complexes. JSD provided design documents for the installation of a synthetic turf championship field, completed in 2013. Key features of this first phase included a synthetic field, irrigation system, bleacher seating, press box, scoreboards, trainer’s rooms, locker rooms, and restrooms. JSD also provided construction administration services.

Phase II – The JSD Design Team provided master planning efforts to include perspective renderings featuring future improvements of the park complex for marketing opportunities, field dedication, and fundraising efforts. Executed in early 2013, they resulted in the direction to proceed with the Phase II redevelopment plans and subsequent bidding for the project. Construction took place with key features including a synthetic surface, bleacher seating, scoreboard, ticket booth, entrance drive, courtyard landscaping, and footings and foundations for a press box! Excitingly, the Edgewood College Eagles now have a dedicated home venue for the first time in their history for men’s and women’s soccer and lacrosse. Planning and design efforts by JSD have resulted in the reconstruction of five full-size soccer fields, including the installation of stadium lighting.
