Frame Park Baseball Field
As the home field for the Carroll University Baseball Program, Frame Park, off Moreland Boulevard, is a field that was once used for Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training in their minor league days and even as a try-out location for teams like the St. Louis Cardinals.
JSD’s landscape architects recently partnered with the City of Waukesha and Carroll University to carry out site engineering, design renderings, assist with product selection, as well as carry out construction staking and administration. Facility upgrades include an all-artificial turf field, new dugouts, six bullpen mounds, two full-length batting cages, relocated outfield fencing, and a 16-foot fence from left to left-center field.
Frame Park interestingly has been at the heart of Waukesha since the early 1900s, and now, the park not only has an impressive lighted baseball diamond with artificial turf, but it also offers two playground areas, a picnic shelter, formal garden area, and separate paths for walking and biking. In addition, a boat ramp on the south end of the park provides limited access to the Fox River.
