Construction of the 220-acre OakView Business Park began in 2015 and the park continues to grow, marked as the fourth major industrial / commercial development for which JSD staff have provided services to Wispark, LLC. JSD provided civil engineering design, permitting, public highway improvement plans, local and state coordination, client representation as well as construction administration services and construction staking. Special care was given to strategically locate stormwater management ponds to minimize infrastructure costs.

JSD worked closely with the Wisconsin DNR and Milwaukee County on environmental challenges and wetland permitting for our innovative grading design which created large flat parcels on a site that originally had extremely challenging topography with over 50 feet of elevation change across the site. Additionally, easement documents and land division maps were created to accommodate individual users.

The park features the flexibility to accommodate tenants in need of parcels from three to 25 acres, and its first tenant, Stella and Chewy’s, completed construction of their 164,000 square-foot premium raw pet food manufacturing facility. The park is also home to Mygrant Glass, Global Schoolwear, and other assembly, manufacturing , distribution, and R&D companies. Interestingly, 25 percent of the park is green space with extensive tree lines and access to the Oak Leaf Trail and other walking paths. Individual parcel development is ongoing.
