The 70-acre Novation Campus, located on Madison’s south side, is a multi-phased, master planned development incorporating commercial, retail and multi-family residential uses. JSD provided planning, land surveying, civil engineering and landscape architecture services for various phases and lots throughout the campus, as well as managed the construction of over $4 million of infrastructure and stormwater management improvements.

Interestingly, the site was once the location of two landfills, but was transformed into a state-of-the-art, mixed-use employment center. JSD played a key role in building a consultant team to perform Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, geotechnical investigations, site and soils remediation and landfill development. The team also assisted in the procurement of grant funding for remediation.

Novation Campus features development sites for more than one million square feet of technology-related businesses and services, supporting retail and employee services, innovative stormwater infiltration areas, open space, and a network of bike trails and walkways.
