JSD collaborated with the City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Department to design and construct a new collegiate – level artificial turf soccer field at John Mindiola Soccer Park. Due to the success of the park, additional phases are being explored.

Prior to JSD’s involvement, Mindiola Park provided grassy open space and natural turf soccer fields over the top of a closed landfill. Construction of the single field is Phase I of a master plan to convert the park into a premiere soccer complex for the expanding community organizations, local private colleges, and to provide tournament opportunities. Challenges included grading restrictions due to the landfill cap and methane collection system, along with special consideration for foundations and lights.
