Project Engineer II
On JSD’s engineering team, Matt is a Project Engineer and produces HUNDREDS of great site designs focusing on all facets of land development from initial conception, through construction documents, to yearly site inspections thereafter. He is known for his attention to detail and primarily focuses on stormwater management design, grading, earthwork calculations, erosion control, site layout/design, and much more.

Matt’s first paying job ever was farming, mostly including unloading hay/straw and doing the chores. But he said he prefers his current job as an engineer, allowing him to design and develop team coordination, utility coordination, municipal and regulatory coordination with the entitlement and permitting processes and managing project scope, budget and timelines.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys riding all his bikes (favoring mounting biking), as well as hiking, fixing/improving everything, cruising in his Wrangler with his wife and son, and playing with his two fur babies, Lucy and Jemma.
