Mundelein Park & Recreation District partnered with JSD on their 55-acre Longmeadow Park as we prepared the OSLAD Grant submittal and provided landscape architecture, civil engineering and surveying services.

As a part of the design process, our team held public meetings to elicit comments and suggestions from community groups and neighbors before developing the vision for this project. The park is ADA accessible and includes a half-court basketball, player seating area, play apparatus for children ages 2 to 12-years, sand play, GAGA ball, fishing station, woodland walking path with interpretive signs, native plantings, and an updated interior network of trails that facilitate access throughout the park. The improvements to the park provide needed open space improvements for a highly utilized neighborhood park. Our landscape architecture team also developed the construction documents, led the bidding process and provided contract administration, construction observation, and grant administration.
