JSD’s landscape architects worked with the architect and the Alsip-Hazelgreen-Oak Lawn School District 126 for the building renovations and additions at Lane Elementary School. With the intent of maximizing efficiency, District 126 decided to consolidate their Early Childhood program into one single location. JSD’s staff designed the outdoor classroom, landscape plantings, stormwater basin educational signage, and the Early Childhood Center Play Area. The play area poured-in-place surfacing design compliments the architect’s interior whimsical paint theme.
