To qualify for this internship opportunity, you must be enrolled/attending an accredited college program in the field of Landscape Architecture.
Description:
JSD believes and respects that your education should be your highest priority, therefore, the hours for this position are fully flexible and will be offered on an as needed/as available basis customized to work around your class schedule. Hours will be available throughout the entire school year for all students. Spring, Summer, and Winter Break hours are also available.
As a full-service consulting firm, our Project Teams are spread out across the US offering local community and national presence and support. This position is designed to give landscape design and architecture students an opportunity to gain experience in their field of study in a fast-paced, exciting, and supportive environment, working for a company that is involved in a wide range of projects including: residential, commercial, industrial, and retail markets in both the private and public sector.
During your internship, you will be utilizing AutoCad Civil3D, Lumion, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite, as well as several other various software applications that we will provide on the job training for these tools.
A successful candidate must have a passion for landscape, a good work ethic, excellent oral and verbal communication skills, good computer skills, be self-motivated, and willing to learn.
This internship will provide you an opportunity to touch many different projects at different scale of size.
Some of the projects may include, but not be limited to:
- Master Planning with a Variety of Public and Private Sector Clients
- Park Master Plans and Municipal Park and Open Space Plans
- Landscape Design
- Construction Document Plan Sets
- Graphic Illustration
- Assistance with Project Design and Construction Administration
