JSD was hired as consultants for the Des Plaines Park District for the renovation of the Lake Park play area, new splash pad, interpretive signs, and fishing station. The scope of work included two successful public meetings to gain community input, development of two conceptual plans, final master plan, and construction and bidding documents.

JSD also authored the OSLAD Grant for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources which was awarded to the district in January 2020.
