Kevin Yeska, PLA, ASLA

Practice Lead | Senior Landscape Architect

Kevin is a senior landscape architect and practice lead for JSD with designs focusing on commercial, retail, institutional, and residential developments.  He manages client relations and provides design direction to a team of surveyors, engineers and landscape architects, while also communicating with municipal agencies through the design process.

As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Kevin and his wife have a baby, Emerson, a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Leo, a tuxedo cat named Maisy, eight chickens and about 3,000 bees! Outside of work, he enjoys competitive bass fishing, camping, hiking, dog park adventures, and doing upkeep around his house! Interestingly, most of Kevin’s travel throughout the United States took place in college, pulling a boat with a beat-down white Chevy Trail Blazer on the way to bass fishing tournaments in Detroit, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Missouri just to name a few…

A meaningful quote that sticks in your mind:
“Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” – Henry David Thoreau

If you were added as a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why?
White, because nobody colors with a white crayon, therefore, I’d last the longest in the box.

If you have a pet(s), what would they say about you if we asked for a reference?
My pup, Leo, would say, “Papa wakes up too early!”

If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island and your basic human needs—such as food and water—were provided, what other two items would you want to have with you?
I’d only need one item…A satellite radio to call for help and get the heck off a deserted island!  If you ever saw Cast Away, four years without a dentist would be miserable!
