John graduated from UW Platteville with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering, specializing in structural and geo-technical engineering. His very first paying job was a concrete laborer for four years in his teens, but he does admit he would have enjoyed writing novels in another life. Outside of work, John enjoys reading, movies, board games and spending time with the kids. With any free-time left, he enjoys sculpting miniatures for tabletop games and train-sets.
John and his wife have three kids and a barnyard of animals including two cats, a bunny and 20 chickens!
If you were added as a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why?
Probably orange–It’s one of my favorite colors and its unusual. You have to think outside the box to use it effectively and it stands out.
If you found a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million, how do you spend it?
Pay off my house and buy property for my kids when they grow up!
If you were shipwrecked on a deserted island and your basic human needs—such as food and water—were provided, what other two items would you want to have with you?
A pencil and notebook–without a notebook and some kind of writing utensil I would never keep track of my thoughts.
