Engineering Intern I

Completed one year of college classes with intent of pursuing a career in Civil Engineering
Duties:
Job duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist design team with basic plan production. Set up plan sheets, title block, and detail sheets.
- Perform entry level engineering design including site plan drafting using CAD Civil 3D and associated software, address redline comments.
- Perform basic grading design or assist with drafting of grading plans prepared by others.
- Communicates with project team members and others as appropriate to project.
Required Capabilities:
Must display a consistent
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (id: Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High degree attention to detail
- High degree time and task management
- High degree of multi-tasking and switching quickly between tasks/projects/clients
- High degree of organization
Essential Functions of Position:
- 6-8 hours a day on the computer
- High degree attention to detail

- High degree of organization
- Must be able to safely drive a vehicle for meetings and site visits, occasionally forlong distances
- Physically able to meet OSHA regulations for being on an active construction site for site visits to active projects
- Must be able to safely visit sites not yet under construction (outdoor conditions/terrain that may include: farmer fields, marshlands, flatlands, wooded areas) without accompaniment or supervision
- Standing, walking, bending, squatting multiple times a day for up to 8 hours
Engineering Intern II

Completed two years of college classes with intent of pursuing a career in Civil Engineering, and/or one year of internship in Engineering.
Duties:
- Increase design skills with/in CAD Civil 3D related to plan preparation, utility design, grading and erosion control plans.
- Research codes, ordinance, and zoning specifications.
- Perform Initial/basic stormwater management calculations – initial introduction to HydroCAD and WinSLAMM.
- Assist with plan production and assemble plan sets for submittal.
- Communicates with project team members and others as appropriate to project.

Duties:
- Increased design skills; site plan, grading, utilities, stormwater management design.
- Assist with plan submittals and code research.
- Utilizes CAD Civil 3D and various software applications.
- Seeks technical information from peers when problems are encountered and expected to be outside of one’s own area of expertise.
- Prepares correspondence, technical specifications and reports related to design.
- Communicates with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate to project.
