The Brown County Parks Department embarked on a new and exciting project in developing a Master Plan for H.J. DeBaker Eagles Nest Park and Boat Launch.

The JSD team joined the Parks Department in master planning the park and boat launch and providing a construction cost estimate. A number of community engagement opportunities were held to assist in the development of the final concept since there were a number of users for the new development, from fishers, to boaters, to those just soaking in the view.

Our designers offered valuable insight and contributed in-depth knowledge of key issues, conditions, opportunities, and influences affecting the long-term success and sustainability of the proposed park improvements.

JSD conducted an existing site analysis, which was utilized for identifying site constraints and opportunities. The community’s input was utilized to develop the final Master Plan concept for approval. Our team also reviewed and refined a schematic engineering site plan and took the lead on permitting, construction documents, and construction administration for the redevelopment.
