Shaping the Future of Clean Energy

Dave Jenkins, President/CEO

With fall around the corner and our air conditioning soon switching to heat, my mind swings to the fact that the demand for U.S. energy is rapidly increasing. In my recent travels to Phoenix and Minneapolis for their CleanPower conventions, it’s incredibly apparent that we need to come together to shape the future of clean energy in America.

These two American Clean Power Association events brought more than 8,000 industry members and 500 exhibitors together within the utility-scale clean power industry. I personally met with countless innovators, engineers, and energy leaders in solar, wind, and energy storage as they shared product updates and the latest regulatory changes. Repeatedly, we heard about the need to mobilize domestic manufacturing, modernize the grid, maximize every drop of energy, and empower the American workforce to accelerate cleaner, more reliable, and more affordable energy.

From wind to infrastructure, these CLEANPOWER Conferences are some of the largest industry gatherings in the U.S.—and I’m incredibly proud of our JSD team members who represented us in meaningful conversations, forward-thinking presentations, and valuable connections. We returned inspired, energized, and more committed than ever to helping our Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota clients build a cleaner, more resilient energy future.

We continue to provide survey services on megawatt solar farms, in addition to numerous municipal efforts supplying extra power for local communities or small commercial sites. There’s still something to be said for having boots on the ground for extreme detail, versus relying solely on drone measurements. Our team takes the lead on everything from site design and ALTA surveys to guide permitting, to preparing easements and access agreements, to construction staking and detailed layout—making sure projects move forward seamlessly.
