JSD was hired by the City of Lockport, Illinois to update their 2003 Bicycle Master Plan. Our assistance focused on organizing and conducting effective public engagement to gather community input from residents and stakeholders; doing inventory of existing trails; developing GIS maps; and preparing recommendations for new bike trail locations and implementation strategies. In addition, the public comments and city input received were used to evaluate and implement additional opportunities for recreational amenities, alternate modes of transportation, and in creating connections with the City of Lockport to surrounding communities and trail systems.
