Beach Oak Park in La Grange Park, Illinois will be a hit for the local community as they just held their grand “re-opening.” JSD developed the concept plan during the Comprehensive Master Plan process.

Our landscape architects utilized input from the community to refine the concept, then prepared construction drawings, technical specifications, and permitting for the park redevelopment. The park offers train-themed play structures, including a look-out tower to watch trains on the Indiana Belt Harbor Railroad, a Bankshot basketball court, story-walk signs showcasing the history of the trolley, a park shelter with solar light, a checkers table and open lawn area for drop-in recreation and picnicking.
